B'nai Chai -- First Movie Night a Great Success
last updated 7/11/2000 bnaichai@gordonrichard.com

Second movie night. August 20.

Ten B'nai Chai members saw the movie Space Cowboys. This movie was not as nearly well liked as The Perfect Storm, but we still all had a great time socializing together, especially enjoying the dinner and friendly chat at Perkins after the movie. Short reviews from anyone who saw the movie with us may be published right here on our own website. Paula D. was the first one of our group to break into the movie-review scene last month. Maybe Paula -- and someone else, too -- will send me some more reviews. RG

First movie night. July 9.

What a great success the first movie/coffee Night was on July 9! Twenty people attended -- and what a delightful group they were. These are the folks that shared in the fun -- and if I left out your name by accident, send me an e-mail reminder, and I'll add it to the list. I have a feeling this event is the kick off for a new exciting phrase in Chai's life -- and these were the players on the field when the new game began. Richard Gordon

Most people liked the movie The Perfect Storm. I hope, in fact, some of us will write short reviews of the movie -- or comments about the night out in general -- to be added to this page.

Why am I only using first names? Some people don't like to be identified on websites. They think it is an infringement on their privacy. So I'll stick with just the first names, but if you want me to include your last, then just send me an e-mail requesting same and it will be done.

I just got a message from Paula D, sharing with us her view of the The Perfect Storm.

Mike and I were a little disappointed. Although, at times The Perfect Storm was entertaining, I didn't think it was as good with regard to the acting. I did, however, think the special effects were excellent. Just goes to show what promotions can d o to get people to the movies. I thought the Patriot was much better in many ways, including the acting. By Paula D.

Isn't it exciting, Paula, to realize that people around the world could be reading your thoughts about the movie? Thanks, Paula, for adding your comments and interest to this webpage. RG
