 Dogs. Today, June 19, 2009, I met a sculptor and his dog Ginger
at the Salem (Massachusetts) Arts Association store on artist
row in Salem. He told me how he had gotten his Ginger on line through
an organization that rescues homeless or about to be homeless dogs
and places them with loving new owners. The name of the organization: Great
Dog Rescue New England (GDRNE). Both dogs and prospective owners
are carefully screened. If you're looking for a new dog as a pet
and a companion -- or if you can no longer keep your own dog --
