- Dr. C. George
Boeree of Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania wrote an excellent
article about Frankl, including biography, several especially meaningful
quotes from the book, and an explanation of Frankl's logotherapy,
a psychological theory and treatment modality. Frankl believed logotherapy
could help cure mental illnesses by leading the patients in their
search for their own personal, individual meaning for existence.
- Genrich
L. Krasko, on the staff of MIT, wrote a lengthy article about
Frankl whom Krasko calls "The Prophet of Meaning." Krasko
goes into Frankl's early training and his association with Freud.
When I pasted Professor Krasko's article into Word, I found that it
runs twenty-nine pages. These twenty-nine pages are packed with specifics
about Frankl's theory of logotherapy and how it put him at odds with
both Freud and Adler.
