To Us

Let’s love each other for who we are.

All the points of interest
All the points of sameness
All the points that stick in the throat.

We’re not of one mold you and I.
We’re not the same.
And yet so much we share.

A past, a blood line, our lives and futures intertwine.

We care, we share and still dare to differ – with love.

Could you be more like me – NO WAY!

Could I be more like you WHO’S TO SAY?

At another time, in another place
Were we to meet on some other stage,
The roles would differ and the differences might stand.

Less hard – more refined –
Congenial…perhaps.

So goes life’s merry dance.

So goes love…So goes romance.
Throughout our lives we share one long production.

Lights! Camera! Action! Reaction!

So, let’s enjoy the music of our differences and smile
At the ultimate wonder of the bonds of love.

Control

Overpowering dominion,
Sickening need!
Don’t mess up anything else, it hurts.
Such perfection can only lead to falling glass.
Windows cracking and breaking,
Cables and axons snapping like stalks
Leading to chaos and distress.

It seems so inviting …
Order …
Ease …
Straight lines …

All things within a framework.
And the build up becomes a fortress
Guarded by titans
Not so easy to attack …
Formidable, uniform, formal.

Unassailable!

Unreachable!

Starkly untouchable …

L O N E L Y

Parent of despair and longing.

Growing Up Smarter!

Accept it please
That’s it.
The way it is
It may not be the way
you would have liked
way back then
But come on.
Today is another time.
Are you willing to poison it
As you strive to keep
old hurts in line?
Must you pick at scabs
So they continue bleeding?
Let them heal.
Someone didn’t please you!
Even hurt you!
So what!
