Qualified, experienced, certified teacher

I'm a retired English teacher. For 28 years, I taught on Long Island, New York. I have a bachelors and masters degrees from St. John's University, plus the Certificate of Advanced Studies from Hofstra University. I have permanent, lifetime certifications from New York State as a school administrator and a teacher of English and Reading.

For twelve years after retiring from teaching on Long Island, I moved to Florida where I was an adjunct computer software instructor at a community college. I taught classes in computer literacy, webpage creation, and Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel. See my resume for more details.

In a recent years, I have concentrated on creating websites -- and in tutoring others on how to maintain and update their own websites.

So if you need tutoring in English, computer basics, Microsoft applications, think of me if you live in Tampa Bay, Florida or within ten miles of Salem, Massachusetts where I spend several months a year.

My Fees

I charge $60 per hour, with a two hour minimum for every tutoring session.

Phone call help

For phone call help, my fee is a minimum of $60 per phone call even if I can solve your problem or answer your question in five minutes. Please, if you are an acquaintance, don't expect free phone help. This is my business and I simply don't have the time to give away my expertise.

For creating a website

How much will it cost to create a website for you and to tutor you in how it is done? That depends on how many hours of my time are required.

Below in the gray box are the estimated fees for the creation of websites similar in quality and quantity to those I have created in the past. My fees include --

getting a domain name
arranging for the hosting of your site

Retired Teachers Club -- $10,000

Neighborhood club offering picnics, card games, holiday parties -- $3,000

Monthly fee

Instead of paying me a one time fee, I would accept a fee of $200 a month that includes --

hosting your site
updating it monthly
promoting it to attract viewers

At any time if you are not happy with my monthly services, you could simply stop paying me the monthly fee and I would remove your site from my hosting company. Under this monthly payment plan, I maintain ownership of all the webpages and reserve the exclusive right to the password that allows me to update the site.

The fee for writing and posting on a website a feature article similar in quality and quantity to these three linked examples would be an estimated $1,500.
