calendar

After March 1, 2008, until we get a new volunteer to take over the former webmaster's job, this site will not be updated. If you are interested in meeting dates after our final luncheon April 10 for the current school year 2007-08, please email our communications director Clive at clive@trifcut.org.

Third Thursday

Our luncheon dates are usually on the second Thursday of each month. However, occasionally RTC meets on a day other than Thursday. (RTC is officially known as Clearwater Unit of TRIF.)

Reservations required

Please keep in mind that your attendance at a meeting requires that you first make a reservation at least five days ahead of time. To give you the chance to do this, if you are in our active database, our phone committee will contact you. If not contacted at least three days before the luncheon date, please send in your reservation to rtc@gordonrichard.com. Be sure to include your name, phone number, and meal choice if choices are given on this calendar page.

Annual participation fee necessary for reservation

Reservations for our 2007-2008 luncheons and other social events will no longer be accepted from those former members who have not paid their participation fee this year. We do, however, welcome any newcomer wishing to join us and determine if membership is desired in the future. Any questions, please contact our board at rtc@gordonrichard.com.

Our Archives

We have completed a very successful 2006-07 season of events. As of November 12, we have held three events during the 2007-08 season. We have most of our remaining 2007-08 events listed below. If you're a newcomer who would like to see the events we had in other past seasons, check our our archives. Even though this website and the calendar events given below have not been updated in recent months, their presence on this page will still give you an idea of the kinds of events we offer.

Chef with RTC friendship menu Sept. 6, 2007 Thursday. Bon Appetit Restaurant in Dunedin. More than 45 members and guests attended this opening event.
Oct. 11, 2007 Thursday. Our first regular luncheon ever held at the Ivory Mandarin Bistro in Dunedin drew almost fifty regulars and newcomers.
Nov. 8, 2007 Thursday. Tiffany's restaurant, one of our favorites for the past five years, located on U.S. 19 in Palm Harbor. We again saw an increase in both members and guests as our Northern colleagues arrived.
Dec. 11, 2007 Tuesday. Holiday luncheon at the beautiful Clearwater Country Club on Betty Lane including our special guests from the Sheriff's Youth Ranch's Egan Cottage. Brought 65 members and guests together
Jan. 10, 2008 Thursday. One of Tampa Bay area's finest Italian restaurants Johnny's Italian Restaurant, located at 2907 S. R. 590 near Ruth Eckerd Hall, hosted our January 10th meeting/lucheon.
Jan. 28, 2008 Monday. Our extra event My Sinatra: Night and Day was SOLD OUT. Thanks to the Lanzas for arranging this great "extra" activity illustrating so well that we do far more than just have monthly luncheons.
Feb. 7th, 2008 Thursday: Day At The Races at Tampa Bay Downs featured club house admission, reserved seating, a complete luncheon buffet and a skilled guide for just $19. Once again this yearly event was a great success thanks again to Pat Lacourse for making all the arrangements.
Mar. 13, 2008 Thursday. 11:30 AM. Kally-K's Restaurant, 1600 Main Street, Dunedin will be our March location after many years of absence with arrival at 11:30 AM.

Luncheon choices featuring Grilled Chicken Breast or Sirloin Steak or Flounder (stuffed? broiled?) will include soup and salad bar, baked potato, and coffee or tea for $12.

Election of Officers will be followed by Eckerd College's Jim Frasier presenting the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute "prescription for positive aging," an exciting opportunity of learning for seniors.

Apr. 10, 2008Thursday. 11:30 AM. Our year concludes with the annual indoor picnic buffet within the clubhouse of the Sheriff's Youth Ranch in Safety Harbor.
